On a splendid mid-August day in 2023, following the mesmerizing Van Gogh Exhibit at Oro Valley Marketplace, Ms. Karen and the author found themselves at the doorsteps of Harvest Restaurant, drawn by the memory of a delightful meal they once savored at the now-closed River Road location. Their expectations were admittedly high, bolstered by their previous five Saguaro rating experience. Anticipation was in the air as they stepped into Harvest, eager to see if this location in Oro Valley would live up to the high bar set by its predecessor. The prospect of dining with a direct view of Pusch Ridge served as an added allure, hinting at the possibility of a meal complemented by breathtaking scenery. This is amazing.

The ambiance of Harvest’s patio, where the author and Ms. Karen chose to sit, did not disappoint. With Pusch Ridge standing majestically to the East, the patio offered an oasis of comfort in the warm Arizona climate, thanks to the gentle misters. The tranquility of the setting at 11:30 am, coupled with their choice of dry white wines—a sauvignon blanc for Ms. Karen and a pinot grigio for the author—set the stage for what was to be a remarkable dining experience. Their selections for the day, a customized Smoked Salmon or Chicken Cobb salad for Ms. Karen and the Brandy Burger for the author promised to be a treat. The attention to detail and the freshness of the ingredients hinted at the culinary delight that awaited them.
